Their stepsister, Ella, is known as Cinderella because of the treatment by her sister’s in making her a scullery-maid-of-all-work. Cinderella is loved by Buttons, the Baron’s “Jack of all trades” and was played by Bradley Wigglesworth. Bradley delivered the comedy element working the audience so well that they were all his friends and in his gang.

Enter Prince Charming and his valet-de-chambre, Dandini, played with plenty of vigour by Rebecca Copeland creating a good foil for the Prince. As Prince Charming, Alex Severn in true thigh slapping Principal Boy style, delivered a well-rounded performance. She looked good, sang beautifully and convincingly acted the role delivering all the pantomime elements that are required. Cinders invitation to the Royal Ball might have been ripped up but her

Fairy Godmother would see she that she does go to the ball. Vicki O’Hare, as the magical character, cast her spells with an endearing quirkiness. In the title role Rachel Mellor gave a pleasing performance as the downtrodden unloved sister. She had good chemistry with the Prince and strong vocals. This Pantomime was a crowd pleaser. All the little princesses who got dressed-up to see this well loved fairytale clearly enjoyed their first theatrical experience.
