ACT Reviews 2022-2023 Season
as multiple roles, that the actor has a scene with one of their other characters. Lorraine pulled this off and certainly made us laugh in the process. The lighting, sound, and set were diabolical throughout, but this was perfectly played from Droylsden’s theatre crew. It is hard to imagine, that no matter how a shambolic technical performance, it gets praised. All joking aside, lighting and sound were astounding, and really enhanced the car-crash which was happening on stage. (I use the term car-crash about the play within the production I have been to watch.) This production had me in stitches throughout. Knowing the hard work that goes into amateur theatre productions, I am sure we can all recall at least one production where something has gone wrong but somehow the cast muddles on through despite the missed lines, falling down sets. Here it was all brought to life by this talented company.
