RELATIONSLIPS by Sara Morris and Chris Sandiford Junction 4 Productions

Note to self: Remember to check place, date, and time before departure. I am so glad that I set off early as I arrived with little time to spare to review the premiere performance of “Relationslips”, written by Junction 4’s very own Sara Morris and Chris Sandiford. Several of the characters have previously

appeared in an earlier piece entitled “If It’s Not One Thing It’s the Mother” If it is as good as ‘Relationslips’, and I’m sure it will be, I will hopefully get to see that one day.

We were treated to wall to-wall laughter from the opening scene to the finale by this extremely funny, heart-warming script. The cast were so as one that even the odd missed line was skilfully covered by the other players. Now to the performances. Co-writer Chris Sandiford’ as Roger’ delivered his one liners and punchlines with expertise. He was well partnered by Bernard Kennedy as Alan; his wig alone deserves a nomination at the next awards.
