351 1884 (9 July) A printed 'Imperial Chinese Telegraphs' envelop used in Tientsin, with Telegram no.344, on front bearing Large Dragon 3 cands brown red, tied by large 'TIENTSIN' antique seal chop in black, matching the 'CUSTOMS/TIENTSIN/9.7.84' cancel in black on reverse. Extremely rare and fine. Photo We have found no record of an 'Imperial Chinese Telegraphs' envelop used with Large Dragon stamps. The 3 candarins rate was being used as normal local postage. This unique cover comes from a newly discovered archive in France and is an excellent show piece for any exhibit collection. ​ HK$ 200,000 - 250,000
