798 1945 (20 May) A censor cover from Chikhom registered to USA, on reverse bearing SYS Central Trust print 25c in pair, $1.50 x 3, surcharged 50c on SYS Central Trust print 16c in pair, Kwangtung surcharged, and ‘Domestic Express Letter’ stamp x 2, each tied by bilingual ‘CHIKHOM’ cds, with ‘Opened By Examiner/P.C. 90’ censor label, tied by the India ‘DHF/35’ censor shop in light violet, ‘MIAM/30.8.45’ transit and ‘SAN DIEGO/1.9.45’ arrival cds. Domestic Express Letter on censor cover is unusual, and also this cover took almost 4 months to reach it’s destination. Photo HK$ 2,500 - 3,000 799 1947 (19 June) A SYS 4c green stationery card with CNC surcharged $100 on $1 x 2, both tied by bilingual ‘TSINGTAO’ cds, and over struck ‘US CIVIL CENSORSHIP’ in red, underneath ‘BRITISH CENSOR IN GERMAN/No.1536’ censor chop in black.
