A stampless returned cover from Shanghai to Chungking, on front, with ‘Postage Paid/Shanghai (1) $32’ Flying Geese type meter stamp in red, this meter stamp is covered by 3 pieces of the returned receipts, with a lot of postmarks, for example, bilingual ‘SHANGHAI/13.11.50’ bilingual ‘CHUNGKING/26.11.50’ and ‘CHUNGKING/1.12.50’ cds, ‘The Second Field Post/No.1 Branch’ dated ‘28.11.50’ and ‘29.11.50’ in red char. (二野軍郵/直一支局) and large faint single ring chop in red. with the same Field Post cancel on one receipt, one receipt cancelled char. ‘EAST SEZCHWAN/XIAOLONGKAN/3.12.50’ cds. and stamped bilingual ‘A.R.” in black frame. on reverse, attached a SYS 4c orange yellow stationery card, cancelled by ‘Registered Mail’ in straight black char. and small part of the registered receipt. Extremely rare example of postal stationery used as a registration receipt and forwarded mail as the recipient was constantly moving. Photo HK$ 8,000 -10,000
