585 1899 (8 June) A red band cover from Peking registered to Hangchow, on front bearing CIP Coiling Dragon 1c orange and 10c green, tied by ‘PEKING/HORSE & MULE MARKET STREET/BRANCH OFFICE’ ( 京都/騾馬市街郵政分局 ) Tombstone cancel, alongside handstamped large ‘R’ registered mark in black, and ‘PEKING’ ( 京都/念五年五月初一日 ) Tombstone in black, both matching the bilingual ‘PEKING/8.6.99’ cds. with bilingual HANGCHOW/16.6.99’ arrival cds on reverse, both sides with a few worm holes.
