South West 西南区

The South West region consisted of Kweichow, Chungking (East Szechwan), Chengtu (West Szechwan), Sikiang, and Yunnan. By October 1949, it was the only KMT controlled region in the mainland. PLA, deployed a three front attack - the 1st Army from the North, the 2nd Army from the East and the 4 the Army from the South. On 30th November the 2nd Army captured Chungking. On 1st December, upon taking over the post offices in East Szechwan, the Military Control Commission announced the use of Silver Yuan postage until 8th December.​ 西南區包括貴州、重慶（東川）、成都（西川）、西康、雲南，在49年十月後，這是大陸唯一的國統區，解放軍展開三 面進攻，一野在北、二野在東、四野在南，十一月30日二野佔領重慶。12月一日，當接收東川郵局後，軍管宣布沿用銀 元至十二月8日。​
