992M 1941 (26 Oct.) A censor cover from Shanghai registered to Denmark, bearing SYS New York print $1, tied by bilingual ‘SHANGHAI’ cds, with Denmark censor label, tied by single ring ‘s53’ Crown type censor chop in violet circle, on reverse with ‘KOBENHAVN/24.7.45’ arrival oval cancel in violet, this cover was stored in Denmark post office for more than 40 months because of the European war. Denmark was attacked by Germany troops in April 1940. This letter was finally passed to receiver 2 months after the German surrender. Rare.
