A large air mail cover form Shenyang to Scotland, redressed to Berks, on reverse bearing ‘For use in Northeast’ on SYS London print $500 brown in pair, $4,000 on 25c blackish brown and $10,000 on 10c orange yellow x 14, each tied by bilingual ‘SHENYANG’ cds, with double ring ‘GLENLY/23.10.48’ arrival cds, total rate $165,000. On reverse with SYS 1st Peiping Central print ‘For use in Northeast’ $1 blue in block of 8, top left stamp damaged, tied by bilingual ‘CHANGCHUN’ cds, bilingual ‘PEIPING/23.7.47’ arrival cds. The normal surface rate was $10 per each 20g, effective from the 1st March 1947.
