JOHNSON GRASS a severe allergen Johnson Grass ( Sorghum halepense) is found throughout the United States along roads, railways and in abandoned areas. Sometimes Johnson Grass is planted for erosion control, reclamation projects, or forage for cattle. However, it can be toxic to cattle when the plant is stressed during drought or freezing conditions. Johnson Grass is cross-reactive with Sudan Grass and Common Sorghum. For more information on pollen cross-reactivity, contact your HollisterStier Allergy sales representative for our helpful cross-reactivity guide.
