In the camp look for African Green Pigeon, Scarlet-chested Sunbird, Retz’s Helmet-shrike, Green-capped Eremomela, Brown-headed Parrot, Cut throat Finch, Red-headed Weaver, and several sunbird species. Black Cuckoo is seen in summer, and Gorgeous Bush Shrike can be heard calling from the dense bush surrounding the camp. The grass in this area is longer, due to the high rainfall and the vegetation is somewhat thicker, making searching for animals a bit of challenge.
