ASSOCIATE Magazine FBINAA Q2-2025
Continued from "Meet the Candidates", on page 51
My experience includes serving as Vice President and President of the West Virginia Chapter, where I have helped prepare, plan, and coordinate chapter events, including the annual re-trainer. This event attracts both NA alumni and non-members from across the country. Additionally, I have attended numerous Chapter Leadership Summits in Quantico alongside other chapter leaders. As a member of the National Training Committee since 2017, I have con tributed to the development and expansion of our training programs. It has been rewarding to see these programs evolve into an international initiative. I have also played a role in selecting presenters for the National Annual Training Conference (NATC). We take pride in fulfilling our mission statement: "Impacting communities by providing and promoting law enforcement leadership through training." I have attended every national conference since 2016, volunteered at the Cleveland conference in 2022, and assisted in organizing, setting up, and hosting the 2022 Section IV meeting in West Virginia. Additionally, I have been a member of numerous state chapters for many years. Through my work with the National Training Committee, I have collabo rated closely with the National Executive Board, strengthening relationships that have deepened my understanding of our organization's mission and goals. These experiences, combined with my leadership roles in other organizations, have equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to effectively represent you and uphold our core values: Knowledge, Courage, and Integrity . During my campaign, I have had the privilege of visiting most of the Section III Chapters, meeting members, exchanging ideas, and forging valuable relation ships. Many of those I have met have expressed their support and provided en dorsements. My vision for the future is centered on empowering our law enforce ment community and developing future leaders within the FBINAA. This begins with a strong mentoring program at both the national and local levels. I am committed to strengthening our association’s national impact and ensuring that it remains a beacon of excellence in law enforcement leadership. My continued service to the FBINAA is a testament to this commitment. A strong leader must possess excellent communication skills, but even more importantly, effective listening skills. I firmly believe in being a transparent and approachable leader. I promise not only to stay in close contact with our members but, more importantly, to listen. This is how we grow and progress as an organization. I humbly ask for your support and your vote in the upcoming election. Together , we can build upon our strong foundation and achieve new heights for Section III and the entire FBINAA community. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Larry Zimmerman Experienced, Proven Leadership, Commitment, and Passion for the FBINAA
