ASSOCIATE Magazine FBINAA Q2-2026
are the grassroots, where engagement and real con nections occur. The role of the National Board is to provide direct support to the chapters and ensure co hesiveness across the Association. We must operate in harmony to both sustain and grow our member ship and strengthen our chapter connections. Many fraternal organizations such as ours have been struggling to maintain membership and participation in the digital age of instant connectivity. Unfortunately, the expansive reach of social media has negatively impacted direct participation in these organizations, thereby eroding the most important aspects of networking. Primarily, the open, face to-face engagement with peers that haven’t been pre-selected into a “friend” group. Our diversity of experience is our greatest asset. Active engagement between our working and retired members is our most precious asset, and we must continually work to facilitate and ensure its perpetual success. Our cornerstone values of Knowledge, Courage, and Integrity provide us with the foundation that we continue to build upon. At this moment in time, “Integrity: the ability to maintain quality and state of being complete or undivided” is paramount. We must continue to build on our traditions, but we must also seek new and innovative ways to connect in the modern world, to strengthen and grow our beloved Association. The FBINAA is the premier law enforcement leadership network in the world! We have all shared a collective experience at Quantico, and we face many of the same challenges in our daily responsibilities after graduation. My vision is to increase the potency of our fraternal bonds by seeing that the National Board finds, implements, and facilitates greater op portunities for our chapters to increase outreach to their members, and connect our forty-eight chapters closer together through collective coordination and support. It is my goal to help advance and strengthen our Association by re-engaging members who have become inactive and to develop and implement new and innovative ways to keep our active members engaged and connected. If you support this vision, I ask that you cast a vote for me in Niagara Falls. I sincerely look forward to connecting with you and listening to your ideas about how to continually improve our FBI National Academy Associates. I pledge my full commitment to serving the entire Association faithfully each and every day of my term.
VINCE DeMAIO
SECTION IV
Dear Friends, Fellow Graduates and Members of
Section IV,
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce my self. For those that I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting in person, my name is Vince DeMaio. I am a 37-year veteran of law enforcement and a proud grad uate of the NA Session 260. I am currently seeking to serve the Association as its Section IV Representative. My platform is focused on Vision: Innovation and Con nection. I have been actively engaged in the FBINAA since my graduation in 2015. I have served on the Connecti cut Chapter’s Executive Board since 2017. During my tenure as Chapter President, we were able to reinvigo rate our Chapter both financially and with increased member participation. In my first year as Chapter President, we implemented a successful Regional Com mand College. Now in its fourth consecutive year, it has provided top-tier leadership training to hundreds of law enforcement executives from throughout the region, and substantially strengthened our chapter’s financial position. Our charter was also amended during my tenure to better meet the needs of a modern organiza tion and clearly define our mission, and role as part of the greater Association. I continue to serve on numerous boards and commissions with the goal of improving the welfare of our brother and sister officers and advancing the law enforcement profession. I currently serve on the National Finance Committee, and over the past several years, I have developed a strong working rela tionship with the members of the National Executive Board and the staff of our National Office.
