“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2) As I reflect on our newly established Spiritual Leadership Network Chapter Chaplain program, I realize this is yet another one of those rare opportunities where we can show our gratitude and serve our membership as spiritual leaders. I am excited to share and to recognize those who have been accepted to serve as their chapter chaplain. • Scott R. Pike , Session 249 representing the Michigan Chapter • Orin L. Orchard , Session 272 representing the Nebraska Chapter • Al Lamberti , Session 167 representing the Florida Chapter • John M. Sakoian , Session 163, representing the Western Pennsylvania Chapter • Kevin Platts , Session 219, representing the Florida Chapter As we begin to build our core foundation of faith-based spiritual leaders, our ability to reach our members and provide additional support will continue to expand. The duties of the Chapter Chaplains may include: • Giving a prayer at Chapter meetings. • Conducting the Memory Table Ceremony at state re-trainer conferences. • Responding to our members and their families in time of need and sending condolences when one of our own has passed. • Attending promotional and graduation ceremonies when called upon. • Attending births and birthdays or other celebrations the chapter might support. • Attending workshops, training and monthly meetings with the National Board. The mission of the FBINAA Spiritual Leadership Network is to support FBINAA Chapters, members, and their families and provide faith-based resources during times of need and in mo ments of joy and celebration. “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10) This outreach initiative is our way of giving back a small portion of which much has been given to us. Chapter Chaplains come in all faiths and denominations, and we encourage you to apply if you’re interested in becoming a Chapter Chaplain under the Spiritual Leadership Network. Please reach out to your Chapter Boards and submit an application to us by using the link posted below. Once the applications are received we will contact you with further information.

This year a board member donated an original FBINAA Commemorative Beretta 92 pistol. This contest raised $6,000 for the Foundation. Another member has now donated his Beretta commemorative; watch for that contest to open soon. Here’s a new program: On September 1, we launched a Charitable Foundation wine program. We have teamed with a noted California winery to offer great wines with our private label at a reasonable price point, with a percentage of sales coming to the Foundation. If you’re a wine lover or looking for a neat and unique gift for someone, this is a great idea. Finally, 19 chapters have donated a total of $35,000 to the Foundation this year! Collectively, that’s more than any fundrais ing proceeds except for the 5.11 donation. Thank you for your support, chapters! As you can see, our fundraising efforts have been very suc cessful. To sustain and hopefully grow these programs, we need additional help from both members and corporate supporters. Please help us in these efforts by supporting our donation cam paigns. The promised big news! Our first goal set several years ago was to raise $1,000,000. As of mid-August, the Foundation’s total assets have reached some $850,000! This is an amazing effort by everyone – members, supporters, and the board of directors – in less than a dozen years in operation. We will undoubtedly pass one million in 2023, and we couldn’t have done it without you!! Your best source of information about the FBINAA Chari table Foundation is our website: For more information about any of our efforts, contact the Founda tion at or your section representative on the Foundation Board. Their contact details can be found on the website. As we have said often, even earlier in this report, you have another critical role to play in the work of the Foundation. Be very aware of members in your chapter or session (NOTE: current dues-paying members only) who may need assistance. As we know, our members are self-reliant individuals often too proud to ask for help. Let us know when help is needed, and we will work hard to assist if we can. One final thought: Consider bequests and other options for tax-deductible giving in consultation with your tax advisor.
