-
Personal protective equipment must be present and used correctly
- - -
Operate correctly
Hazardous zone shielding
Brake to prevent the machine from running for too long
- Presence of instruction card for operation (machines) - Good dust extraction (if applicable) - Fixed machines are equipped with an emergency stop Function (emergency stop) In case of emergency, stop the machine as quickly as possible
General hazards and possible injuries - Being caught by moving parts -
Being struck by flying material/particles
- -
To get stuck Electrocution
- High or low temperature of the workpiece - Hearing damage due to noise - Physical complaints due to vibrations - Physical overload due to incorrect posture - Fault in the control or energy source - Distracting the operator - Cuts or abrasions - Bad maintenance - Dislocation of hand and wrist and bruises due to incorrect use - Fire or explosion due to arcing - Injury due to tool bites - Long running time of machines - Touch cutting parts - Inhaling harmful dust
Requirements (emergency stop) - Easily accessible -
Be clearly visible and recognizable After using the emergency stop, the installation can only restart with the normal start-up procedure
-
Function (no-load switch/no-voltage switch) A no-load switch/no-voltage switch ensures that the machine does not start automatically if the power has disappeared and then returns. Safety measures and requirements (machine operator) - Have sufficient education and experience - 18 years or older (for operating dangerous machines) - Do not wear loose clothing or loose jewellery or hair - Only wear tight-fitting gloves when contact with rotating parts is possible and/or when there is a risk of being caught - Do not bypass, disable or remove security - Do not leave a running machine unattended - Know the location and function of the emergency stop
General demands -
Periodic check-up
-
Validity period with sticker or colour coding
- Have use and maintenance instructions in the language of the country where it is used - Provided with a CE marking after 1995 - Moving parts are shielded - Be in good condition and suitable for the work to be carried out
General safety measures -
Disabled during maintenance work Never run with the drive open
- -
The floor around machines and permanently installed tools must be tidy, clean, level, dry and non-slip - There must be sufficient walking and moving space to operate the machine
