1 GAS PREPARATION & COLLECTION KIT A kit containing all the components parts needed for the preparation and collection of various gases, over water in a tank. Gases typically generated and collected using this apparatus include Oxygen, Hydrogen and Carbon dioxide. The kit includes five gas collection tubes (150 x 24mm) and rubber stoppers, a test tube stand, thistle funnel, test tube with side arm, delivery tube and connector, glass beehive shelf with chimney, and plastic tank with lid, which doubles-up as a storage container for all the components. 2 JOLLY’S BULB & GAUGE - STANDARD Consists of a glass bulb 60mm dia. fitted with a bourdon gauge to investigate the relationship between temperature and pressure at a constant volume. Pressure readings are shown on the gauge on immersing the bulb in hot or cold water. Cat No. Description Price Per HPG-500-100 Jolly’s Bulb & Gauge Standard 57.68 ea. 3 KINETIC THEORY MODEL For demonstration of the kinetic theory of gases, explaining the molecular motion of gases. The apparatus is powered via the 4mm sockets, by connecting to a low voltage DC lab power supply (not included). Comes complete with 3mm metal spheres, representing gas molecules, and a free-sliding cardboard discs for loading at the top, which changes height depending on the speed at which the molecules are moving (representing the fact that the volume of a gas increases with temperature). Cat No. Description Price Per HPG-550-100 Kinetic Theory Model 46.08 ea. 4 LASCELLS DIGITAL JOLY BULB Visually and effectively demonstrate the relationship between temperature and pressure. The Digital Joly Bulb is the perfect alternative to the traditional bulb and analogue gauge; pressures can be read directly from the built in digital display and the apparatus is sensitive enough to register an increase in pressure when the bulb is held gently in the hand. By submerging the bulb in water at different temperatures the relationship between temperature and pressure may be demonstrated and the calibrated digital readout allows a quantitative investigation to be carried out if required. For demonstration purposes’ two 4mm sockets are provided to allow the pressure reading to be displayed on a large demonstration voltmeter (not supplied). Supplied with 9V PP3 Battery and full instructions. Cat No. Description Price Per HPG-255-100 Digital Joly Bulb 127.82 ea.
