Lime Tree Journal - January 2019

From the Manager s Desk

Hello again from Graham and Lesley…

Firstly we hope everyone has recovered from Christmas.

Graham and I wish you all the best for the year to follow.

We had a cracker of a Christmas Party, held in the Community Hall on December the 12 th . A fantastic afternoon of food, drinks and some cheers. Some residents brought dessert along, thank you. A very big thank you to everyone who volunteered their time with the clean up during and after the party. Ron Toleman, who had a recent fall and has spent the last couple of weeks in hospital, was chaperoned by his daughter, to the Christmas Party. He was determined to be there. All the best with your ongoing recovery. The long weekend is coming up soon, the 28 th of January is a public holiday because of Australia Day falling on Saturday 26 th January. It’s a great time of the year to be enjoying the great outdoors. We are looking forward to getting away for the long weekend, in the caravan! By now most of you would have noticed that we have a new staff member, Warren, working around the village. His newly appointed role is a very important one, maintaining all the gardens around the village, including pruning, mowing, spraying weeds and generally clean- ing up around the place. Also doing the garbage run on Mondays and Thursdays. Thank you for your help Warren, it’s very much appreciated.

We do have a new resident also, Dorothy has moved into site 39. Welcome to Lime Tree Vil- lage and we hope you enjoy meeting people within the village and making new friends here.

Just a reminder to check out the Lime Tree Village Calendar, printed in the journal every month for activities happening in the hall and the pool. All residents welcome, new and old.

Until next month…………

The Lime Tree Journal is now viewable online at under the heading of “News”.
