Prize for First N in e : L. K . Branigan (Dublin) 3 up (on last 3 ); E . Gillan (Drogheda) 3 up. Second Nine : S. V. Crawford (Dublin) 1 up. Sealed holes: J. Bolger (Portlaoighise). At the dinner held later in the club house, pre­ sided over by the Captain, the prizes v/ere presented by Mr. J. R. Quirke, President o f the Incorporated Law Society. The Captain read out a list o f members from whom messages had been received apolo­ gising for unavoidable absence and expressing good wishes for the success o f the outing including the follow ing: W. J . Norman, D. J. Collins, W. A. Menton, P. R. Boyd and W. Montgomery, and he paid tribute to the support which they and other stalwart supporters o f the Society have always afforded to it. A vote o f thanks to the Captain, the President and The Baltray G o lf Club, proposed by Mr. D. P. Shaw (Mullingar) and seconded by Mr. M. Neary (Dublin) was carried with acclama­ tion. The dinner proved a most enjoyable function and amongst those who contributed to the success of the evening the thanks o f the members were felt to be due in particular to Mr. James J. O’Connor. It was hoped that the great success o f this outing would lead to further Successful outings on future occasions.
