The following was among the business transacted : Publication o f results o f Society’s Examinations I t was decided that for the future candidates who obtain 70% or more o f the total aggregate marks obtainable, be listed as having passed with honours and that the remaining successful candidates be listed in order o f merit as having passed.

Standards for Scholarships, Medals and Honours T he following standards were adopted :— Findlater Scholarship ■—• Minimum 75% o f the aggregate marks obtainable. Overend Scholarship, Preliminary Exam. - Mini­ mum 75 % o f the aggregate marks obtainable. Overend Scholarship, Final Exam. - Minimum 75 % o f the marks obtainable in the questions on Real Property and Conveyancing. Gold Medal - 85% o f the aggregate marks obtainable. Silver Medal - 75% o f the aggregate marks obtainable. Honours - 70% o f the aggregate marks obtain­ able. New Lecturer T he Council appointed Mr. Desmond A. O’Connor, Solicitor, as Lecturer in General Practice, and the Practice o f Conveyancing with effect from Michael­ mas Sittings 1953.
