A late certificate must be pro­ duced to the Society for noting within one month o f stamping and will be effective for the purpose of taxing costs only from the date o f such production. T he following was among the business transacted :— Special Examiner for the Intermediate and Final Examinations. M r . D esmond R. C ounahan , B.A. (Mod.) LL.D . was appointed Examiner in succession to the late Dr. Vincent D. Keirans. Superior Courts Rules Committee. M r . J ames J. H ickey and Mr. Ralph J. Walker, were appointed as the Society’s representatives on the Superior Courts Rules Committee pursuant to Section 15 o f the Courts o f Justice Act, 1953. Solicitors’ Bill. A deputation was appointed to seek an interview with the Minister for Justice and to report back to the Council. Circuit and District Courts. Increased jurisdiction. A special committee was appointed to draw up new scales o f costs for submission to the rules committees without referring back to the Council.
