M r . H arold J efferson , Solicitor, died on the 15th A pril 1954. Mr. Jefferson served his apprenticeship with his brother, the late Mr. Charles G. Jefferson, Solicitor, was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1907 and practised at x1 Wellington Place, Belfast. M r . H enry J. W a lk er , Solicitor, died on the 27th May, 1954 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athlone. Mr. Walker served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. William P. Kelly, Solicitor, Athlone, was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1906 and practised as senior partner in the firm o f Messrs. William P. Kelly & Walker, Athlone. APPOINTMENTS. M r . P. F. O ’R e il l y , Solicitor, 8 South Great George’s Street, Dublin, has been appointed by the Attorney General to act as his solicitor in Charity matters.

M r . J ames R ountree , Solicitor, died on the 24th March, 1954. Mr. Rountree served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Joseph Wright, Solicitor, was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1899 and practised at Omagh. M r . R obert H enderson , Solicitor, died on the 6th April, 1954. Mr. Henderson served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Joshua E . THE SOLICITORS’ BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION

The Association, which operates throughout the whole of Ireland, cares for Solicitors, their wives, widows and families, who have fallen on hard times. Last year over £1,300 was distributed in relief. Additional subscriptions, donations and bequests are urgently needed to continue and extend the Association’s work.
