A fun game of bingo with a summer spin! Can’t get to the beach? Come out and celebrate summer with bingo and tropical refreshments. Registration deadline is June 21. Course 6597 ALL ARE GOD’S CREATURES - FREE The collection of creepies and crawlies belong to All Are God’s Creatures, a licensed rescue and rehab sanctuary for wildlife operated by Marion’s Darin Handy. Handy is known for captivating youngsters and adults as he strives to educate people about the misunderstood critters of the world and promote responsible pet ownership. Darin is a Virginia wildlife rehabilitation specialist who works with both injured and orphaned wildlife and exotic creatures. Course 6599 ICE CREAM PARTY - FREE Mon, Jul 8, 3:30 p.m., Courtyard at Meadowbrook Center Beat the summer heat and cool off with an ice cream party! We will provide the ice cream; participants are requested to bring a topping to share. Enjoy a fun scavenger hunt in the courtyard prior to the social. Register by July 1. TOMATO FESTIVAL - FREE Sat, Aug 17, 10 a.m - 3 p.m., Shawsville This fun festival held in Shawsville is filled with live music, food and craft vendors, the Tomato Olympics, games for kids, and tasty tomato foods. This event is sponsored by the Mountain Valley Charitable foundation. Check us out at www. eastmonttomatofestival.com. HERITAGEDAYFESTIVAL- FREE Sat, Aug 25, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Montgomery Museum of Art and History & Downtown Christiansburg This popular annual event has expanded! Vendors will now have a flat surface to display their craft on, and walking will be much safer. A food truck will provide lunch options. There will be live music, a pie contest with prizes for adults and children, a silent auction directed towards families, and many children’s activities. Up on the hill will be a genealogy team, garden tours, re- enactors, and more. Travel up the hill will be provided by a tractor hayride.
