GROW YOUR OWN SALAD BOWL - $5 Tue, May 7, 10:00 a.m., Christiansburg Recreation Center Don’t get stuck in the same old salad routine, shake it up by tossing in some greens and herbs. Learn how you can create and grow a salad bowl that can be harvested in about a month. A light salad bowl lunch will be provided, and a salad garden demo will be given away as a door prize. Register by May 6. Course 6580 MINI GOLF LEAGUE - $50 Fridays, May 10, 17, 24, 31, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Join us on the greens this spring for our mini golf league. There will be a men and women’s division. You must participate in all four visits. You will get to rotate courses each week at Cox’s Driving Range, Putt-Putt, and Thunder Valley. Lunch is on your own at a local restaurant. Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each division. The fee includes transportation and mini-golf fees. Register by May 8. Course 6582 FLOWER POT PAINTING - $15 Tue, Jun. 4, 10:00 a.m., Montgomery County Government Center, Multipurpose Room #1 Learn to paint a colorful flower pot that the butterflies will flock to, with bees buzzing about, and flowers will be excited to burst into new blooms. You will have great fun painting and learning cute ways to personalize flower pots for your garden. All supplies are included. Register by May 28. Course 6588 LIFE STORY CLASS $5 Tue, Jun. 11, 11:00 a.m., Christiansburg Recreation Center This “Lunch and Learn” class will help guide you in writing your life story through journaling, scrapbooking, or writing. A light lunch will be provided by Commonwealth Senior Living. Participants will receive handouts and tips on how to get started with your project. Register by June 4. Course 6583
