MAKE AND TAKE: ESSENTIAL OILS - $20 Fri, Aug. 2, 11:00 a.m., Christiansburg Recreation Center This workshop will allow you to experience essential oils and their ability to support you and your family through the cold, cough, and flu season. You will learn to make blends that support the immune, respiratory, and digestive systems, as well as reduce muscle pain. We will have five recipe stations set up, and an additional supply fee of $5 will apply for each roller bottle and label. Register by July 25. Course 6590

NATIONAL WATERMELON DAY - FREE Th, Aug 22, 1:00 p.m., Montgomery County Government Center, Multipurpose Room #1 Enjoy all the watermelon you can eat! This juicy, wondrous fruit is loved by the young and old alike. Watermelon is filled with Vitamins A, B6, and C, antioxidants, and potassium. It is a healthy, fat-free food with just 40 calories per cup. Additionally, Michele Hess- Dubel will discuss the benefits of volunteering, and we will enjoy a fun game of bingo with prizes to celebrate summer. Register by August 15.
