TRIAD S.A.L.T. COUNCIL The Christiansburg/Montgomery TRIAD S.A.L.T. (Senior’s and Law Enforcement Working Together) Council works on various projects to benefit older adults in the community. The council meets every third Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Christiansburg Recreation Center. The meetings are open to all who wish to attend. TRIAD SENIOR CARE FAIR Tue, May 21, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Christiansburg Recreation Center The annual TRIAD Senior Care Fair will feature exhibitors providing information on local agencies, businesses, and organizations who provide services to seniors. Pick up safety information, freebies, register for door prize drawings, and have light refreshments. HOME SECURITY Tue, Jun 18, 1:30 p.m. Christiansburg Recreation Center The topic for the June TRIAD meeting will be home security. Local Christiansburg Police Department officers will present on ways you can protect your home and loved ones.

SENIOR CITIZENS’ POLICE ACADEMY Mon-Fri, Jul 17 - 21, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Christiansburg Recreation Center Here is your chance to learn about the day to day operations of the Christiansburg Police Department! Interested applicants may contact the Christiansburg Police Department at (540) 382-4388, or the Christiansburg Recreation Center at (540) 382-2349. All applications are subject to review and approval. This program is open to any citizen 50 years and older. Registration deadline is July 6. TRIAD SUMMER PICNIC Tue, Aug 20, 11:00 a.m., Mid-County Park Join us for lunch provided by Highland Ridge Rehab! The TRIAD Council will give a presentation, and you may meet local law enforcement and council members. Registration deadline is August 14. Course 6596 LOCK BOX PROGRAM This program is available for older adults and provides emergency first responders a way to quickly gain access into the home of participants during an emergency.
