improving the overall cost of test. The new T5835 has full testing functionality for any memory ICs with operating speeds up to 5.4 Gbps, including all next-generation memories from NAND flash devices to double-data-rate (DDR) and low-power double-data-rate (LPDDR) DRAM chips. In addition, the system’s built-in dedicated hardware functions allow it to reach industry-leading throughput levels, lowering the cost of test. It can handle 768 devices simultaneously for final package-level testing. System capabilities include known-good-die (KGD) wafer- level testing of DRAMs, an enhanced programmable power supply (PPS) for advanced mobile memories, and a real-time DQS vs. DQ function to improve yield. The T5835 is designed on the modular enhanced T5800 series platform to optimize scalability, flexibility and performance for both wafer sorting and final testing. It can be configured as either an engineering station for use in R&D environments or as a production-volume tester equipped with a small, medium or large test head. All system configurations are inherited from Advantest’s existing memory test system and leverage the Future Suite operating system to provide continuing test program compatibility. These features allow users to seamlessly transition from previous generations of the T5800 series while maintaining production efficiency. “On the strengths of its high performance and versatile capabilities, our new T5835 is truly today’s best-in-class memory tester and a first-class extension of the T5800 series,” said Masayuki Suzuki, executive vice president of the Memory Test Business Unit with Advantest Corporation. “It continues the legacy of our T5800 product family, which has been acknowledged as the global standard in the market.” The first T5835 systems are scheduled for delivery to key customers by the end of this year.
Antenova introduces the Affini cellular antenna for 4G/LTE and 5G NR, with Band 71 Antenova Ltd, the UK-based manufacturer of antennas and RF antenna modules for M2M and the IoT, is announcing ‘Affini’, part number SRFL064, which is a flexible printed circuit (FPC) antenna for the LTE, 4G and 5G NR networks in global markets. This antenna covers all main 4G bands plus 617-698MHz which offers 5G coverage and the popular Band 71. The Affini antenna measures 78mm x 17mm x 0.15mm, which is small, yet it delivered high efficiency in tests. It has an I-PEX MHF1 connector, so it is easily designed in and it suits small devices that need to operate across wide areas. Affini provides good coverage indoors on the lower frequencies because at around 600MHz RF signals can travel greater distances with good penetration of walls and buildings. The applications for Affini will be in small devices operating on the 4G and 5G cellular networks. They could be in telematics, OBD, cellular wi-fi hotspots, IOT, M2M, CCTV over 4G/5G, drones, Pico base stations and POS terminals. Says Antenova’s Product Marketing Manager, Michael Castle, “The Affini antenna is a useful choice for designers because it is physically small, plugs directly into a design and the antenna doesn’t need a ground plane, matching network or transmission line. The antenna has high efficiency too, which will help manufacturers to gain certifications and PTCRB approval for their designs, and the design can be upgraded to use 5G modules.” Affini is the latest in Antenova’s antenna portfolio which includes SMD and flexible antennas for cellular, ISM/LP- WAN, GNSS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
