T he C ave

He spied something shiny. It looked like gold. Then he heard a voice inside the back of his head. The voice sounded cold and it said to go into the hole and find the treasure below. The voice then faded away. Then, Jimmy jumped into the hole. He looked up and the sky was no longer there. It was just dirt, nothing but dirt. He looked down. All he could see was darkness, all the way down. He saw the bottom then he thought, “I am going to hit the bottom.” When he was one metre away, he slowed .down and then he hit the bottom. He got up and looked around and saw a cave. For some reason there were sparks coming from inside the cave so Jimmy walked slowly towards the cave. He saw a lava pit and beyond that there was another cave. He then started to walk forward toward the lava pit and then he gathered into a run. He jumped onto the nearest rock, then the next and then the next. He then stopped and jumped to the other side in the next cave. There was a tree at first. Jimmy thought, what would a tree be doing underground? He then saw a hole in the tree big enough for Jimmy to fit through. Jimmy walked and then a tree branch swished viciously. Jimmy fell over. Another branch came swishing down. Jimmy rolled over just in time. Jimmy got up and a branch came out of nowhere. Jimmy got caught on a twig and then the branch hit him but Jimmy held onto the branch swaying around, around, around and around. Jimmy then let go and he dropped into the hole in the tree. Jimmy was falling and falling and then he hit solid ground. It was dark and more darkness. A few minutes later Jimmy woke up. He was in a small damp cave and then beyond that there was something that looked extremely like a dragon. He moved slowly towards the dragon then he saw there were two buttons. Jimmy went slowly towards the dragon’s right hand side to the button that said, this button if pressed will wake the dragon. Jimmy went back but as he stepped over the button, he tripped and hit the button. He shouted “Ah, oh!” He then saw the dragon open its eyes and look around and it spotted Jimmy and it roared! Jimmy got up and ran to the other button but was hit by one of the dragon’s wings and hit back into the last cave He was lying there then Jimmy saw the gold on the other side of the dragon. Jimmy felt brave and the next thing he knew, he was on the other side of the dragon and nearly out of the cave with the gold.
