to your tree. "I find Christmas decorations everywhere," says Heidi. "The thrill is in the hunt. My favorite haunts include Bergdorf Goodman, Hazelnut, Pied Nu, Target, and even the corner drugstore!" Enchanting little tinsel and bottlebrush tabletop trees, which Heidi has collected for about twenty years, show up on occasional tables throughout the house. These sweet nostalgic confections are especially charming on the 1940s bar cart she found in her hometown years ago. Arranged with vintage Venetian goblets, a glossy lacquered tray, and Tripp's grandmother's Baccarat ice bucket, it is a glamorous rendition of Santa's workshop. Heidi truly loves the art of gift wrapping and this year her daughter Kate, who has joined the design firm, is on hand to help. "I'm learning from the best," says Kate and she's not kidding.

S entimental treasures are the ornaments given to me by my godmother every year, those handed down from my mother in law, and those that were a wedding gift from a family friend. -Heidi Friedler
