Celebrate New Orleans this year with our limited edition

New Orleans Tricentennial

Ornament collection.

Over the years, I've collected various ribbons, papers, and adornments – any kind of doo-dad found on sale at craft shops or virtually anywhere – such as feathers, floral sprays, and pine cones. The possibilities are endless. The key is keeping your eyes and mind open to different things of beauty. Two musts are good paper and good ribbon and that doesn't mean it has to be expensive. Keep your feelers out for quality ribbon sales at local fabric and trimming shops. My favorites are grosgrain and double-faced satin. The same concept applies to paper, too. Although fancy holiday paper can be exquisite, simple brown kraft paper when paired with a fabulous ribbon and a single brass button or rogue costume earring in the center of a four-loop bow can make a serious statement!

Produced exclusively for us, each ornament is hand stitched using a combination of fabrics, beadwork and metal threadwork, a technique that can be traced back 2,000 years.
