Orphan Annie is a cow horse, one of the cowiest in the sale. We’ve had her tracking the Smarty and

cutting out steers and she shows a lot of talent. As her name states, Annie was an orphan who we

bottled fed. As a result she didn’t learn manners from her mother and was very pushy and in your

pocket. Noah has done a really great job with this mare. She gave him some trials but he’s seen her

through every one. He really likes her for her toughness and athleticism.

Regal may not be the best looking horse in the pen but give him a chance and he’ll surprise you. At the start of

class this horse was tough to get along with but through the perseverance of his rider, Melvyn, this horse has

come around. Melvyn got a late start to Colt Class. He had never been around horses but has shown a natural

ability for working with them. Despite the challenges Regal presented, Melvyn never wanted to give up on him.

In turn, this horse has taught him horsemanship and life lessons. Regal has done a number of ranch jobs and

when he’s freed up he moves really nice and is willing to move out on his own. He needs consistency, but if

you’re willing to give him the time, he will make you a good horse.
