Equifest Program 2019

Billy Allen was born into a family of farmers who had working horses, not show horses. He grew up dream- ing of being a world champion roper and he rodeoed for awhile, but in his mid-20’s he started training horses instead. Since he started competing in AQHA, Mr. Allen has earned 11 World Championships in halter, heading, heeling, reining and working cow horse. In 1976, he campaigned 3 different horses to year end high point titles in reining, tied down roping and team roping. In addition to training horses, he established the Billy Allen Feed Company. Mr. Allen is a 30-year breeder and a longtime judge who taught at the judges’ seminars. He is past president of Kansas Quarter Horse Association and will be inducted into the American Quarter Horse Association this March of 2019! Come hear stories from Mr. Allen. Bring your questions too. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the man who made so famous a bit mouthpiece, now com- monly used!
