Kip Rosenthal

Kip Rosenthal is an accomplished equestrian, who has trained and ridden with such familiar names such as George Morris,

Victor Hugo-Vidal, Bert De’Nemethy and more. In her youth, she placed top three at the American Horse Show Association (AHSA) Medal Finals and ASPCA Maclay Finals. Kip also rode her horse Goodboy Dee to the AHSA Horse of the Year Junior Hunter Champion. Kip went on to have great success as a professional rider. As both an accomplished and respected R-rated judge in both Hunter and Hunter Seat Equitation, Kip has judged many of the most prestigious competitions in North America. Her judging includes the Hampton Classic, Lake Placid, Capital Challenge, the NCEA National Championship, the Pessoa/USEF Hunter Sear Medal Finals, Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, Pony Finals, and the Maclay Finals. Kip’s was also one of the clinicians at the 2012 EAP National and Regional Level. Kip’s Interest extends to the governance of the sport where she volunteers her time by serving as a member of the USHJA Hunter Seat Equitation Task Force. Kip holds a PhD in clinical counseling psychology and conducts sports psychology seminars throughout the country. Kip has written several books and articles that have appeared in Practical Horseman and The Chronicle of the Horse. Kip also writes “Kip’s Tips” for Today’s Equestrian. In 2012, Kip received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the New England Equitation Championships. Dr. Tom Tweeten is a scientist with more than 50 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry. He has worked with industrial chemicals and human and animal nutrition to develop chemical testing procedures to insure product quality and integrity. About twenty five years ago Dr. Tweeten and a couple of young entrepreneurs began de- veloping a line of horse care grooming products. Since Dr. Tweeten is a horse owner and show competitor, he has worked to create products that are healthy and beneficial for his horses, while achieving the aesthetic results he wants. Dr. Tweeten’s experiences enable him to focus on developing a way to properly prepare and groom a horse so that it is beneficial to the animal. Based on this presentation you will learn what you will want to include in your tack box to maintain a healthy appearance of your horse. Thomas N. Tweeten, PhD

Brandy Von Holten

Brandy and her husband own and operate Von Holten Ranch (VHR). VHR is an equine trail riding facility that is conveniently located 45 miles from I-70 in Mora, MO. They offer 40 electric sites, 108 stalls, 4 cabins, a guest shower house, a large covered arena, 25 miles of trails an obstacle course and an on-site dump station. VHR hosts a slew of events ranging from horse shows, extreme cowboy races, clin- ics, themed trail rides and more! VHR is a family owned ranch since 1906. Following her arena demo, come to this workshop to learn about Mounted Archery and the Tools that are needed! Brandy is also an author of a series of Childrens’ books and will be reading her sto- ries to children in the Kids’ Corral Daily!
