There is a catholic church for every neighborhood – San Javier de las Colinas, Nuestra Sra de Bugambilias, Santa Rita, Guadalupe, and Santísimo Redentor in Chapalita, La Madre de Dios in Providencia, Church at El Palomar, even inside the gated communities as in Valle Real, Santa Anita Golf Club. Even though there is an overwhelming majority of Catholic people, the city has places of worship for different religions; there is an important Jewish community as well as several other denominations.
