Kara Smith is in her first year in the position of Assistant Director of r\thletics for Development. She m·ersees the an nual athletic giving campaign and organizes all the athletic fundrai sing events and booster clubs for the department. Her two sisters, KelJy and Kristen, have their master's degrees from USO.

Loucks also worked in the Sports Information offices at Cal State Fullerton and Saddleback CoUege. In 2002, Lo ucks received his B. A. in Cornmunications with an emphasis in public relations from Cal State Fullerton. He is currently working on his master's in sport and athletic administration from Gonzaga.

Ryan McCann Media Relations Coordinator Ryan McCann is in his fourth year as the media relations coordinato r. Maggie Miller started at USD in May of 2006 when she was hired as the Manager of Athletic Equipment Services. Her respo nsibilities include the purchasing, majncenance, fitting, organization, and distribution of equipment inventory for USD Athletics. Prior to USD, Maggie worked at San Di– ego State as the Assistant Manager of Equipment Services from 2004-2006. She helped supervise a
staff of over a dozen fu ll-time and student equipment managers in the daily opera– tion of an Equipment Services D epartment that serviced eighteen varsity sports. Maggie has a bachelo r's deg ree from the University of N otre D ame and a master's degree in Sports Management from the University of Connecticut. She is a certified member of the Athletic Equipment Manager's Association. Maggie was recently to D arren ,\,Liller on Aug. 2, 2008.

Matthew Parr Athletic Facilities & Operations
Sarabeth Pollock begins her fourth year as the Coordinator of Athletic Academic Support for USD. She has worked as a tutor in the f\rh letic De– partment since the fall of 2001. She serves as the academic advisor for all spo rts except Football and Rowing. Her responsibilities include the supervi– sion of the Study Hall and the administration of the tutoring and mentoring prog rams. Currently, the Academic Support P rogram employs over 25
Matthew Parr enters his second year with the USD athletics departrnentas the Assistant Directo r for Facilities and O perations. He assists Andy Fee in overseeing aUthe sched– uLing, field rnaintenance and purchasing for the department's athletic venues. Prior to USD, Parr was a work study student under Andy Fee and John Martin for four years and was also a rnernber of the USD cross country
tutors who represent a variety of majors across campus, as well as over 12 mentors who are graduate studen ts pursuing their masters degrees in USD 's Counseling Pro– gram. Sarabeth g raduated from USD in 2002 in the H o nors Prog ram, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. She speaks Spanish and French fluen tly. A 5th generation San Diegan, she resides in Point Loma with her family. In her spare time, Sarabeth enjoys working o n her novel that she hopes to have published eventually.
