Rembrandt Van Rijn Originally built as a herring lugger, this sturdy vessel was rebuilt as a three-mast passenger sailing schooner in 1994, and underwent a complete refurbishment in 2011. With 16 cabins, she has a passenger capacity of 33 and a staff and crew of 12. Well-suited to sail in the Svalbard and Greenlandic waters, her communication and navigation equipment have been completely renewed according to the latest SOLAS regulations. Simple but tasty meals of international cuisine are served buffet-style in the dining area, and small but cozy cabins each have a porthole and private shower and toilet. With ample open deck space, cruising among small islands and into hard-to-reach nooks and crannies offers amazing wildlife viewing. She also carries two Zodiacs for exciting onshore excursions.
