If I were to ask you to guess what significant thing happened in the field of corrections in 1979, if you are like most of us, you prob- ably wouldn’t have a clue. But if I shared a few things with you that might help jog your memory, maybe something might come to mind. Let’s face it, 1979 was 40 years ago and a lot has happened between then and now. together and some years you forget completely? Anyway, here are a few other sig- nificant things that happened in 1979 that might help jog your memory.
