A meeting of the Distance Learning Coordinator’s Association was held on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at the State Board for Junior and Community Colleges building in Jackson, MS.

CALL TO ORDER. Andrea Scott called the meeting to order at 10:10 am.

II. The minutes from the association meeting on October 5, 2005 were approved as presented.

III.

Unfinished business a. List of items not being used in the enrollment tool i.

The association discussed the addition of a query feature in the enrollment tool. Members were very pleased with this idea. Mr. Yates stated that we need to define which queries we would like added. Mr. Yates suggested three possible queries: Students, Courses, and Withdrawals. Mr. Yates asked the members to submit their requests for queries to the enrollment tool community discussion forum in Blackboard.

b. Submit Proctor Standards Evaluation Forms

i. Members submitted their forms to Jenniffer Wamsley

c. Reoffering Classes in D2L i.

Mark Smith described the course reoffering tool in D2L. Thus far, colleges who use D2L have been recycling the users (like we did in blackboard) and not reoffering. Mr. Smith would like to discuss how this can best be accomplished with other DLCs who are using D2L.
