A meeting of the Distance Learning Coordinator’s Association was held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the State Board for Junior and Community Colleges building in Jackson, MS.

I. CALL TO ORDER. Andrea Scott called the meeting to order at 10:10 am. II. The minutes from the association meeting on March 7, 2006 were approved as presented. III. New Business

a. Audra Kimble discussed consortium issues i.

Audra Kimble presented the withdrawal information handout and asked members to pass it along to instructors. ii. The results of the Blackboard Survey were presented iii. The President's oversight committee will be meeting with Blackboard in D.C. next week to discuss the issues with Blackboard iv. Blackboard is looking toward moving to a different type of hosting facility. The cost would be about three times more than what we pay now. Ms. Kimble will be discussing this option with Blackboard. v. Ms. Kimble discussed that READI would like to make contact with any colleges who are interested in implementing the program. Please let Ms. Kimble know if you are interested in hearing from a READI representative. vi. Ms. Kimble and Laura Lofton discussed using Respondus and the lock down browser. Ms. Lofton compared Respondus to Secure Exam and said that Respondus was much better.
