A meeting of the Distance Learning Coordinator’s Association was held at Hinds Community College Raymond Campus on Thursday, June 29, 2006.

I. CALL TO ORDER. Andrea Scott called the meeting to order at approximately 12:30pm.

New Business a. Audra Kimble identified new members of the consortium:

i. Chris Jenkins – East Central ii. Margaret Dixon – Coahoma iii. James McMullin – East MS

Consortium Issues presented by Audra Kimble a. Training

i. Blackboard Training – hotel information and other information has been provided in an email that was sent by Ms. Kimble this morning. The time frame is tentatively set for 9am-4pm each day on July 10-13. The last day of the four day session will be dedicated to administrative information. Colleges may wish to swap out participants on the fourth day. ii. Online Training – one participant will be paid for by MSVCC, but colleges may wish to send other participants $975. Three two-week courses. Ms. Kimble would like to know if MSVCC wants to schedule our own online sessions so that we can go together. Most agreed that MSVCC should do the sessions together beginning around September 11 th adding a one-week break after each two week session and ending around November 3 rd .
