2008 – May DLC meeting notes for 5/8/08:

1. Unfinished business:

** A reset button with be available for the DLC to correct syllabus in the Enrollment Tool, Ive is working on it at this time.

2. New business:

** Textbooks Issues - The discussed placing the correct information in the ET site to make sure everyone had the same information such as ISBN numbers etc. We were unable to establish a standard technique because of the procedures for each college (example, Private or contact). We agreed to contact the student if there were any changes made after the deadline.

** No Show dates- The date for the summer semester is 6/18/08. The date set for the fall semester is 9/10/08.

** Final Grades posted to BB - Christian decided to leave the BB classes available to the students for seven days after the classes have ended in order for them to check their grades.

** Duration of Course Availability- Christian explained the procedure for changing the course availability.

** Proctored Test Registration System Availability- Audra check with everyone to see what type of procedure/technology they using to make appointments for testing. She that the program they had was in house, MCC uses “Pro Scheduler” and MGCCC uses “Appointment Quest”.

** GPA for online students - I told everyone the dean ask me to get everyone’s on the possibility of making a requirement that have at least a 2.0 GPA in order to take online classes. Audra said, “That is a violation of SAC rules, online students should have the same requirements as everyone else.” Terry past of the letter you sent. There was some discussion (Mr. Yates asked if there would be period for them to establish a GPA or could new students take online classes. I told him that new students are allowed to take classes. Christian said he would need to discuss the issue with the academic deans and presidents get back with us.
