Is there a way to get an inactive/active nomenclature n Enrollment. This caused a problem with auditing. Phyllis said that she uses inactive/active in the ET. Jennifer asked if it counts as a withdrawal if they inactive them. Phyllis said that this would turn into an F at their school. Chris asked if these records were still included in snapshot. Should look at different ways to reinstate. Audra asked if we can see the inactive students course information on students that have been withdrawn? Terry said that Kim Harris had been involved with discussing this with Bb, but he’s unsure what happened. Tish & Hubert has enrolled a user in the GUI for temporary access until the next snapshot file ran. 2. Roles – Several people have been asking about the DLC assistant role, Dean role, etc during bootcamp of last year. Christian & Terry received the spreadsheet from Ive. Jennifer said that this is what we did last year during our Oct. bootcamp. We went through each roles and changed the rights of each group. After bootcamp, we sent it do Audra Kimble and Ive Burnett. One of the questions that Ive had was with the Deans role. Do you want them to have the same roles as the DLC? To create a role takes a significant amount of programming. How many people would be using this role? It’s not effective use at this time to build for four or five users. MGCC, HINDS, NEMCC, EMCC, CO-LIN, EMCC. Don’t want the Deans to appear in the DLC listing of DLCs. Anyone assigned that role are then confused about who they should contact. It also causes problems with who get contacted. Withdrawal notifications are sent to the DLCs, which also don’t need to go to the Deans. We’ve had problems going into the ET and they are duplicating courses, etc. We don’t want too many people with access to all the tools of the DLC. Don’t necessarily feel that they need course management/user information. They are more interested in the survey information and faculty credentials. Christian said that there is an evaluator role that we could provide to the Deans. Everyone needs to have a stake in what rights that evaluator roles has. Julia said that if we are not allowed to add a DLC role, could we add an additional DLC role. We can build on the evaluator role. Chris said that you would have to make a distinction between what a Dean is. Is this a DLC Dean or is this an academic dean. Enrollment Tool requests, should evaluate the whole system. More specifics about Deans and their roles. Jennifer said that we are all happy with our roles as the DLC. We can then provide the Deans with an evaluator role. Still would like to request an assistance role that is worth Ive’s time. Jennifer Newell said that for years we’ve made request and nothing has been done or we received no feedback.
