Remote Proctoring - Jeff Relue - Tegrity Campus Student recording workflow - 2008 - to support student generated content at a distance January 2010 tegrity remote proctorign released for production Can be recorded on any computer - can be played back on any device. o need a computer, camera and microphone often used in conjunction with lockdown browser. recordings are indexed and searchable only needs internet connection to download recorder at the start of the session...then if connection is lost it's ok...still records when connection resumes, video finishes loading back to tegrity When lecture capture is purchased - remote proctoring comes with it. Jeff will be talking to Christian about possibility of purchasing just the remote proctoring tool for MSVCC Start tegrity, then launch lockdown browser, then login to test in bb/d2l Load content - upload multiple files and file types...can use drag and drop Voice is buffered if there are problems with the session, as soon as there is a good connection, buffered playback will occur As soon as session opens, content is downloaded (multimedia files etc), so when you get to it, its ready No (provided) dial-in with access code. Dial in requires that you use your own web conferencing provider. Multipoint Video - video follows whoever is talking - up to six cameras Archiving available...moderator receives an email with a link to the archive after session. All participants must leave the room before archive completes. Chats can be saved as text files. Users can take notes within the session,, but they are user specific and will need to be saved before exiting. Web Tours o option to follow me (so you can move users through a web site) o or to bring up a page and let them move through on their own White board o Object oriented - moderator can see who created objects, who edited, moved etc App share is more stable and more reliable Blackboard Collaborate 11:30 - 1:00 Wimba/Elluminate -->Collaborate
