New Business:

a. Canvas General Discussion: i. Script for master course through the API or Template file. Keri spoke on this issue-- It is only two fields 1) source ID and 2) destination ID. Source ID will be SIS ID for course in Canvas you want to copy from. (I.e. Trad Template or Online Template. This has to run after you run major files (courses, enrollments, etc.) This file has not been tested. Cannot be dropped manually. Only available for Windows servers. Other colleges would have to use it as a framework and develop their own API. Can templates be run after the term has started? Will template file overwrite content created in course? Continue testing with templates. Any issues or items found please share with the group. ii. Moving test questions from Blackboard—matching and special symbols do not copy over from exported tests into Canvas. Respondus is the best practice. Holmes would like directions on using Respondus. If someone in the group has these files please send through the group. What about Test Gen or Exam view files getting into Canvas? When export from their export into WebCT and then import into Canvas. MCCB Business: a. Update by Akiah—mostly everyone will be done by this week or next. Phillip is still working on updated Banner schools code. Are the online courses showing in the Spring Term of the testing environment? Is this missing from code? Course s file should have online and traditional. Only one or two schools will be ready in production this week. Ensure files are correct to run three times a day. b. Regional trainings are established—Canvas Essentials: Akiah will send out agenda. i. April 2@ICC ii. April 3@JCJC iii. April 4@MCC c. Majority of colleges are going to run the API auto publish for teachers so that teachers do not need to manually publish. d. Vendor Updates: i. NBC Learn approved and a part of the MELO database. Approved 3/27/2013. Akiah will provide update on LTI. iv. 24/7 Canvas Helpdesk with ITS for approval. How do we send a ticket? Ask a PM how to get our three people set up for submitting helpdesk tickets. Also get emails set up for updates on Beta account. When will we get the 1-800 numbers? Can we get this added to our Help corner? v. Akiah will review the MSVCC Resources tab. Not the most user friendly and lacks the passwords needed to get to Respondus and other password protected content. e. Akiah is working with Jeremy to get admin accounts so that Beverlin and Akiah can add them at the state level. ELCs need documentation on where the LTIS will “live” once goes installed. i.
