CALL TO ORDER. The meeting began at 9:30 a.m.

II. Jason Pugh discussed the deployment of the Blackboard Portal. Mr. Pugh reminded the association that we should focus on instructor training and support in an effort to encourage growth and retention of faculty offering online classes. Mr. Pugh mentioned that Blackboard representatives would like to offer a “Blackboard Day” III. A CAVS Insite Studio demonstration was presented by Scott Calhoun, Debbie Brown, and Andrea Scott. Insite is a design and collaboration system that can interface with the learning management system currently in use or can be used as a stand-alone content development system. This system was designed to more effectively and efficiently connect training and the workforce. Insite is currently in the testing phase and is free of cost to educational institutions in Mississippi. IV. Mark Smith provided Desire2Learn training. Mr. Smith offered to provide more detailed training at MGCCC upon request. Ellene McCrimmon asked that anyone who is interesting in receiving such training send the request to her. V. The meeting was adjourned at 3:00pm
