These numbers should be submitted to Ms. Kimble by the April meeting. i. Hubert Yates and Pam Hemphill stated that problems with cartridges have prevented their instructors from wanting to use D2L. Randall Bradberry will be discussing this at IHL and would like more information about how colleges handle these courses. Most stated that they use computerized virtual labs or kits. Most do not require any campus visits. Ms. Kimble asked Andrea Scott to write up a description of the virtual labs. Janice Poole and Letha Richards asked Andrea to come present the virtual lab to her Math/Computer Science departments. Pam Hemphill suggested that Andrea present this at the Dean's Association since many decisions about acceptance are made at this level. Others stated that this would be a good suggestion for math labs as well. i. Ms. Kimble presented a participation survey from Insite for members to complete. Insite is ready to begin production of their software and is willing to provide training (through 2005) and the software for free with the only condition being that members provide feedback to them about the software. Insite would like the DLCs to request a CD of the software for each campus and then distribute it to instructors. It can be installed in offices or home. The only related cost is for duplication of the manual. The only limitation is that it must be kept within the State of Mississippi. Debbie Brown and Scott Calhoun are our representatives at Insite.
