TPT January 2008

Tube Düsseldorf 2008:

W ith today’s tube and pipe calendar so incredibly busy with exhibitions springing up everywhere, there are often many claims of great success and extraordinary attendance figures. However, not as many tube and pipe exhibitions can truly pull the punters and authenticate this success with official attendance figures, first-hand evidence and a longstanding reputation. Returning for its 20 th anniversary from the 31 March to 4April 2008, Tube Düsseldorf can rightly lay claim to being the undisputed king of all tube shows. With over 800 exhibitors having already booked space for Tube, the show is set to receive more visitors than the 65,000 at the last show in 2006. While Tube will again be co-hosted alongside wire 2008, this year’s event will take a very different shape due to the concurrent running of Metav, a leading

international fair for manufacturing technology and automation. Due to this new synergy, the halls at the Düsseldorf showgrounds will be reshuffled, with Tube in halls 6- 8b, wire in halls 9-14 and Metav in halls 1-5 and 15- 17 (see opposite). Because of this, many exhibitors will occupy unfamiliar exhibition stands, while Düsseldorf hotel rooms will be even harder to find. Although Tube, wire and Metav may have a new layout, it is certain that the usual high quality and high volume of visitors will turn out for what is set to be the best in the show’s 20-year history. Here Tube & Pipe Technology presents details on Tube 2008, with a preview of the comprehensive exhibitor listing. The March issue will feature an extended show feature with exhibitor profiles and the ever popular fast visitor guide. ■
