Model-Based Systems Engineering with GENESYS

Threads

• Defined as a single stimulus/response behavior path through a system • Give us insight on what the system must do to respond to different classes of stimuli to produce desired outputs and behavior • Basic tools for specifying/analyzing: • Interaction of a system with its environment and external systems • system behavior under different conditions

Building Threads

Define distinct classes of threads based on system I/O and/or conditions. Start with one simple thread per class of system input and/or conditions. Preserve each Thread (for thread testing, concept of operations, etc.)

1b. Partition threads

1a. Derive threads

2. Integrate threads to define integrated system behavior
