As we are 3 months into the season the members of our little club have been working hard maintaining our trail system with repair ing bridges, staking fields, signing, and con tacting new land owners. A bridge in Starks has new railings and a bridge on the Rail Trail in New Sharon has been repaired. There is always trimming that needs doing to keep trails open.

POODUNCK sc Dixfield, ME Hello Fellow Snowmobilers

Let me tell you about what the Poodunck Snowmobile Club has been up too since last season. During the spring, summer and fall we have been very busy. Our trail Master along with club members (some as far away as New Jer sey) have been doing brushing and tree trim ming along with repairing eight bridges to make your riding experience more enjoyable. In September we kicked off the beginning of our seasons meeting with a barbeque for our landowners and club members at the Dix field Fish and Game Club. Club registrations are coming in. If you ride our trails and belong to another club, guess what, you can support us by joining our club as an associate member. We would love to have you. We are gearing up for the Blessing of the Sleds on February 14, 2026, along with the Mexico Club. It will be held at the Mountain View Campground in Dixfield. Food will be ready starting at 11 a.m. with the Blessing of the sleds to begin at 12: p.m. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage with green pep pers and onions along with fresh French fries and drinks available for sale. Inside the build ing we have items up for raffle. Purchase your tickets and enter them in the cup beside the item you want to take a chance on and T-Shirts and sweatshirts for sale with the blessing year and all of our sponsors on the back. There will also be a 50-50 raffle. So bring your honey (sled) and get it blessed. Please bring your wife’s, girlfriends, and children as well, after all it will be Valentine’s Day. We are ready for the season; signage has been put up and work has been completed on the groomer. All we need now is the snow. Hope to see you on the trails. Joyce Whittemore Hi All, Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving sharing some enjoyable memories with fam ily. With November behind us the temps have been cold enough with some snow falling that it makes us think about getting our sleds out to get them serviced. Our crew has been servicing our groomers. There always seems to be that unexpected repair. The guys did a fantastic job this year having them ready to roll by November. Trail maintenance continues every Sunday morn ing at 8 am. Volunteers are asked to gather at George Berry’s Garage 132 Miles Square Rd in Phillips. The group has been working on ITS 84 in the Barjum area. We have sent a Marooka into ITS 89 and ITS 115 to help out with some troublesome spots. Then there is the signage and staking going on. Just a busy time of year for everyone. Can’t be all work and no play! Please join us for our Annual Christmas Party on Sunday December 7, 2025 at 4 pm at the Shadagee Community Room in Phillips. There will be a Ham Dinner, bring a side dish and a $20 gift for the Yankee Swap. If you haven’t joined the club yet, well what are you waiting for? Middle of November and it’s starting to feel Wintery. Frost on the pumpkin and nip in the air. We just had our annual landowner apprecia tion supper at the club. EMSC sent out almost 200 invitations to landowners in Holden, Eddington, Bradley and Brewer. We had a great turnout of landowner families and club members. We offer a free meal as a small token of appreciation for all of these landown ers that allow us to use their private property to make snowmobile trails. Without them there would be no trails! This was our tradi tional roast pork dinner with mashed potato, gravy, carrots, salad, rolls and many home made pies and desserts. Rebecca Lemieux, Treasurer DENMARK DRAGGERS sc Denmark, ME Seems like the summer flew by and we will soon be in the grips of winter. This summer the club ran BINGO games as a fundraiser running from April through Sep tember. It was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves. Trail work was already begun. The bridge over Elkins Brook was re-planked this past weekend. There was a great turn out making the task go by quickly. Signage will be done over the next couple of Sundays. After the high winds we’ve had lately the trails will be checked for any blow downs. If you are out and see anything that needs to be addresses, contact the club. If you wish to join us for trail work, they meet at Jimbobs Store at 8:00 on Sunday mornings. Everyone think snow and start snow dancing. EASTERN REGION
