A. Summary of the Method

SAMe (S-adenosyl-L-methionine) in dietary supplement tablets was extracted with a phosphate buffer and separated from the mixture on a RP C8 column by ion-pair chromatography. The mobile phases include phosphate butter, sodium octanesulfonate as the ion-pair reagent, and acetonitrile. The run time is 25 min at flow rate 0.8 mL/min. The UV detection wavelength is at 257 nm.
